Note that (1) the spout cover flips open only about half way, unlike most stove top kettles that flips open fully; this is to avoid spillage and for a more accurate pour. (2) Also, the handle does get hot after boil (i.e., not ‘cool touch’) and a pot holder is necessary / recommended; oven mitt may not work due to the narrow area between the lever that opens the spout and the kettle’s top cover. (3) A minor comment is that it would be better if the the mechanism that opens the spout cover is hidden, like it is with most stove top kettles; this is minor given the 18/10 stainless steel material of the kettle.
